Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice and Global Private Equity Industry Group with the addition of Emily Brown as a partner in London. Emily joins White & Case from Ropes & Gray, where she was a partner.
“Our large global private equity group has continuing and increasing needs for fund formation partners,” said White & Case partner John Reiss, head of the Firm’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. “Emily is a senior practitioner with an excellent market reputation among both sponsors and investors. We look forward to integrating her with our existing clients and providing additional support to her clients.”
Emily advises fund sponsors on all aspects of their business, from structuring to capital-raising and operations of a broad range of funds, including private equity and real assets. She also regularly represents major investors in all aspects of their investment business, including separate managed accounts, anchor fund commitments and co-investments across the full spectrum of asset classes.
White & Case partner and Vice Chair Oliver Brettle said: “Our global mergers & acquisitions practice and private equity industry group continue to be strategic priorities for the Firm. Emily’s arrival builds on our prior investment in our fund formation and management capabilities, which in EMEA has included the opening of our Luxembourg office in 2022, and the addition of Arnaud Cagi-Nicolau as a partner there, and the arrival of partner Robert Nield in London in 2021. Her track record advising on funds established all over the world will support the further growth of our London funds team and the Firm’s global funds capabilities.”
