Eversheds Sutherland builds its Real Estate Litigation team

Thekla Fellas joins to lead a group specialising in the “Telecoms Code”. Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce the appointment of Thekla Fellas as a new Partner in the Real Estate Litigation team. Thekla will join the team on 1 April 2019.

A prominent real estate disputes lawyer, Thekla joins from Fladgate LLP where she was head of real estate litigation for six years, and previously was a partner at DAC Beachcroft. She holds dual qualifications, having initially been called to the Bar in 1992 before qualifying as a solicitor in 1999.

Thekla will strengthen Eversheds Sutherland’s real estate litigation capability taking the team to 14 partners and over 60 full time practitioners, making it by far the largest and most renowned group in the UK.

Thekla will build a team around her specialism in “Telecoms Code” disputes. She is the leading Lawyer in London on Telecoms Code disputes and the leading lawyer nationally acting for landowners. She acted on the first ever case before the Upper Tribunal under the New Telecoms Code and has acted in the first 3 substantive decisions under the new Code. She has also just acted on the first case on redevelopment under the New Code, on which a decision is expected shortly. The new unit will specialise in advising landlords, occupiers and investors on the scope of the new Code.
