Eversheds Sutherland has bolstered its commercial practice with lateral Partner hire, Simon Lightman. Simon, who joins the global legal practice’s London-based commercial team from law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, will be working closely with Eversheds Sutherland’s head of technology group, Partner Simon Gamlin.
Lightman has long-standing experience in a wide range of commercial, technology and data transactions. His specialisms include the restructuring and renegotiation of legacy outsourcing arrangements and advises on complex outsourcing deals and procurements, software licensing, cloud and other “as a service” technology and technology enabled arrangements.
Simon also brings with him a deep experience of advising clients on contracting for new and disruptive technologies including robotic process automation and artificial intelligence. He has acted for a diverse range of clients, with a focus on customers and suppliers in the financial services sector, along with retail, telecommunications, FMCG and aviation businesses, and a number of digital consumer service providers.
