Global, sector-focused law firm HFW has boosted its London aviation finance and leasing team with the relocation of partner David Brotherton.
David has over 20 years’ experience advising financiers, lessors and operators on a wide range of transactions, and moves from HFW’s Singapore office, where he has been integral in building one of the top aviation finance and leasing practices in the region.
HFW is already ranked by The Legal 500 in the top tier for aviation in London, and its Asia Pacific aviation team remains the largest of any international law firm following David’s relocation, including five partners in Singapore.
David Brotherton, Partner, HFW:
“It has been an incredible decade for aviation in Asia, and I am extremely proud of our team and the business we have developed, which I will continue to support closely. I’m looking forward to working with Mert Hifzi, our Head of Aerospace, to further develop our offering to clients in what is a key sector for HFW, and to help deliver our ambitious and exciting growth plans – in the UK and globally.”
HFW’s market-leading global aerospace practice comprises 20 partners and more than 80 lawyers in total across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
The team advise clients throughout the industry – including more than 100 airlines around the world – on all aspects of aviation liability, dispute resolution, regulatory, finance and leasing, and business and private aviation.
