Artem Faekov has joined Locke Lord’s growing London office as a Partner in the Firm’s Energy and Infrastructure Practice Group. Joining Locke Lord from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, Faekov concentrates on cross-border corporate and investment transactions, projects related to technology, media and telecom, energy and infrastructure as well as emerging markets.
Faekov has deep experience across a range of transaction types, including M&A, joint ventures, project development and finance, corporate finance and structuring, privatisations and private investments by corporates, funds and family offices.
Faekov’s addition closely follows several recent strategic hires in the Firm’s London and Brussels offices, including Kieran Stone, Nick Elwell-Sutton, Leigh Smith and Dominic Farnsworth as Partners, Giovanni Visintini as Senior Counsel and Neale Christy, Bart Lieben and Mathieu Mortelé as Counsel.
“Artem is a highly respected practitioner who brings to the Firm vast cross-border transactional experience and knowledge, particularly in project finance and development as well as the energy and natural resources sectors,” said Locke Lord London Office Managing Partner David Grant. “His addition marks the latest milestone in the continued growth of Locke Lord’s London office, and his arrival combined with our talented team of energy lawyers throughout our offices in the United States and London will be essential to providing our clients with an expanded roster of services globally.”

“Locke Lord is a natural fit for me with its impressive platform and outstanding reputation in the energy industry,” Faekov said. “I am thrilled to join Locke Lord’s London office and look forward to collaborating closely with leading dealmakers across the Firm to further facilitate the growth of my practice and build upon the fantastic momentum the group has established.”
