Mayer Brown announced today that it has recruited leveraged finance lawyer, Paul Tannenbaum, as a partner in the firm’s Banking & Finance practice in London. His appointment builds on Mayer Brown’s ongoing investment in its bank lending and finance capabilities and follows the recent hire of Stuart Brinkworth, who joined the London office as head of the European Leveraged Finance team in June. Paul was previously at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP
Paul acts for lenders, borrowers and financial institutions on acquisition and leveraged finance, particularly those in the private equity finance market. His experience also includes fund financing.
Dominic Griffiths, London partner and co-head of Mayer Brown’s global Banking & Finance practice, said: “We have ambitious plans to expand our finance capabilities in London and Paul’s arrival is another important step towards our goal. The scope of his practice makes him a perfect fit for the team.”
Sally Davies, London Senior Partner at Mayer Brown, said: “We are committed to strengthening our London capabilities in a number of areas, including finance. Paul’s arrival will help us to drive forward those plans in the area of leveraged finance, whilst also bringing additional capability to our growing funds practice. Paul’s appointment also reunites him with Stuart Brinkworth, who he has worked with for a number of years.”
