Mayer Brown Expands Restructuring Capabilities in London With Hire of two partners

Mayer Brown is pleased to announce that Michael Fiddy and Amy Jacks will join the firm’s Restructuring, Bankruptcy & Insolvency practice in London as partners. Michael will co-lead Mayer Brown’s global Restructuring, Bankruptcy & Insolvency practice alongside New York-based Brian Trust and Hong Kong-based John Marsden. Amy will co-lead the UK and European Restructuring, Bankruptcy & Insolvency practice alongside Devi Shah.

Michael and Amy have considerable experience in cross-border and high-profile restructuring and insolvency transactions, both contentious and non-contentious. Michael, who is widely recognized for his market-leading work in portfolio and distressed real estate restructuring, regularly acts for financial institutions, funds, debtors, creditors and office holders, both domestically and internationally.

In addition to being involved in a number of large portfolio sales, Amy acts for a variety of funds, investment and clearing banks, corporates, insolvency practitioners and other advisers on restructuring transactions across sectors including retail, construction and waste.

Both partners will join the firm from DLA Piper, where Michael is the global co-chair of the restructuring group. Between 2000 and 2002, Michael also served as the managing director of Fulham Football Club and its associated companies. Amy is the UK head of restructuring at DLA Piper.
