International law firm Osborne Clarke has hired experienced corporate energy partner Matt Lewy, who joins the firm’s team in London. Most recently a partner in Womble Bond Dickinson’s energy and infrastructure team, Matt previously held roles at CMS and Baker Botts.
A corporate lawyer whose practice covers both renewable and conventional energy, Matt brings a particular focus on energy transition and decarbonisation. His practice is centred on M&A and investment work, together with joint venture and equity arrangements for projects and project financings.
Matt has more than a decade of experience in renewable energy and infrastructure M&A, from the UK mid-market to international premium transactions. He advises clients on the corporate lifecycle of greenfield energy projects as well as the energy transition across carbon capture and storage, offshore wind and respective supply chains, together with solar and battery storage projects.
In addition to energy, Matt also brings experience in the TMT sector having worked on deals with medium and large media, advertising and sports businesses, agencies and investors.
