Eversheds Sutherland has welcomed lateral Partner hire, Philip James, to its data privacy and cybersecurity team. Philip, a highly experienced data protection lawyer, joins the global law firm’s commercial team from media technology law firm Sheridans, where he was head of its data practice.
Specialising in disruptive technology platforms, cloud computing, digital media, data and cybersecurity, Philip also focuses on the media and entertainment, interactive, marcomms and fintech sectors. Clients include Cifas, GSMA and Sport England.
Philip will be part of Eversheds Sutherland’s global cybersecurity and privacy practice, headed by Partner Paula Barrett. The team is described by industry legal directory, Chambers and Partners, as “…very high-quality, very responsive and gives clear and practical advice…”
