Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Jonesh (Jon) G. Daryanani has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment practice. He was most recently a partner at Loeb & Loeb LLP.
“Jon’s practice is a great fit for our national labor and employment group,” said Ron McIntyre, “In addition, many of our California-based clients frequently need class action, non-compete, and trade secret litigation representation, so we expect that Jon will be in great demand.”
Daryanani focuses his practice on all aspects of employment and labor litigation and client counseling, including trade secrets and employee mobility litigation. He routinely represents clients in civil litigation, including class actions and administrative proceedings involving wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and misappropriation of trade secrets claims. Daryanani advises clients and provides strategic planning with respect to various employment matters, including employee discipline and terminations, disability accommodation requirements, employment and severance agreements, workforce reductions and implementation of wage and commission structures, as well as privacy issues related to social media. He also conducts due diligence and legal liability analysis involving employment issues in conjunction with the acquisition and sale of California entities.
Daryanani has successfully litigated claims brought before state and federal courts, as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, California’s Labor Commissioner, and Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
Daryanani, who is also a certified public accountant with the state of California, received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and a B.S. from California State University of Northridge. The Los Angeles Daily Journal named him among its “Top 20 Under 40” L.A. Lawyers in 2011 and Los Angeles magazine recognized him as a Southern California Super Lawyers’ “Rising Star” from 2010 to 2012.
