White collar criminal defense lawyer Anthony Pacheco has joined Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP (JMBM) as a partner in its Los Angeles office. Previously with Proskauer Rose LLP, Pacheco has significant expertise in white collar criminal defense, regulatory representation, and complex civil litigation, including internal investigations and crisis management. A former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, he is experienced in all aspects of federal criminal prosecution. Pacheco is an accomplished criminal and civil trial lawyer.

His work has related to healthcare, bank and loan fraud, anti-corruption matters (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, UK Bribery Act and supply chain compliance), insider trading, money laundering, securities and accounting issues, computer hacking and electronic surveillance, tax matters, campaign finance, environmental crimes, defense contractor investigations, insurance fraud, and a variety of international proceedings, including extradition.

Pacheco received a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School (1986) and a B.A. from Princeton University (1983), where he graduated with Distinction in American Studies.
