Latham & Watkins LLP is pleased to announce that Casey Fleck has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner in the Corporate Department. Fleck has extensive experience in a broad range of corporate transactions, including public and private securities offerings, corporate restructurings, recapitalizations, mergers and acquisitions, tender offers and consent solicitations.

Fleck regularly represents public and private companies, investment banks and private equity funds, and he has a solid track record of advising on successful initial public offerings and an array of high-yield, investment grade bond and convertible debt offerings representing both banks and issuers.

“Casey has developed an extremely successful and diverse practice, and we believe he ranks as one of the best young corporate attorneys in the Los Angeles market. In addition to his impressive legal skills, Casey has tremendous energy and an entrepreneurial drive that fits well with our firm culture” said Jim Beaubien, Office Managing Partner of Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles.

Alex Voxman, Co-Chair of the firm’s Corporate Department in Los Angeles, added: “Casey is adept at handling a wide range of corporate transactions, and the national scope of his practice and his particular focus on acquisition and high yield finance adds notable depth to our national capital markets and public company representation practices. In Los Angeles, Casey will help us expand our market-leading position in corporate finance, which continues to be among our core strengths in California and nationally.”

Casey Fleck commented: “I have always been impressed by the teamwork and resources that Latham & Watkins brings to its client service, and I am excited to be joining the firm with opportunities to grow my practice in exciting ways while I also support the firm and its clients in key corporate transactional areas.”

Fleck received his J.D. in 1998 from the University of Southern California Law Center, where he was Order of the Coif and was honored with the Law Alumni Award for the highest GPA upon graduation. He clerked for the Hon. Charles E. Wiggins, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, after which he joined Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP as an associate and was admitted as a partner in 2006. He has received a number of notable press accolades, including being recently selected as one of Investment Dealers’ Digest’s “40 Under 40,” as one of the “Top 20 Under 40” by the Los Angeles Daily Journal, and as one of the inaugural “40 Under 40” by M&A Advisor. Fleck also has been repeatedly selected for inclusion in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business and the Legal 500 US.
