Loryn Dunn Arkow Joins Kelley Drye as Partner in Real Estate Practice in L.A. Office

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP is pleased to announce that Loryn Dunn Arkow, a real estate transactional attorney, has joined the firm as a partner, resident in the Los Angeles office.  She was formerly a partner at Cox, Castle & Nicholson in Los Angeles.

For the past 15 years, Ms. Arkow has handled a broad range of acquisition, disposition and development transactions; joint ventures, lending and other finance transactions; recapitalizations and workouts.  She has represented a broad range of clients including large public pension funds, pension fund advisors, private equity funds and other investors, lenders, developers and sponsors in a variety of sectors, including retail, office, industrial, multifamily, condo development, homebuilding, medical and mixed use projects.

The Los Angeles Business Journal recognized Ms. Arkow as a Rising Star Finalist (2010).  She has been honored with the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award from the Los Angeles County Bar Association Real Property Section (2006) and named on the Real Estate Southern California Women of Influence List (2006).  Ms. Arkow has been selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer from 2009 through 2012.

Ms. Arkow holds leadership positions in various charitable and civic organizations, supporting areas of need from underserved populations to cancer research.  In addition, she is a Los Angeles Regional Director of the Stanford Professionals in Real Estate and previously served as a Director and Secretary of the Harvard Club of Southern California and chair of its community service programs.

Ms. Arkow received her J.D. from Stanford Law School and graduated from Harvard University, magna cum laude, with a B.A. in government.  She received her M.A. from Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies, where she studied international trade, finance, economics, Japan studies and international law.  She has spent extended periods of time in Japan at Japanese and American law firms and as a Rotary Fellow and a columnist at a Japanese newspaper.

Ms. Arkow speaks Japanese and Spanish.
