Hunton & Williams LLP continues its strategic growth with the addition of partner Colleen Doyle and counsel Diana Martin to the firm’s environmental law practice group. Formerly with Bingham McCutchen LLP, Doyle and Martin are based in the firm’s Los Angeles office and rejoin partner Scott Burton, who moved to the firm from Bingham in 2008.
“Colleen and Diana are outstanding lawyers whose national practice and international client base include petroleum, mining, chemicals, and a variety of other industrial and municipal clients. They are a great strategic fit with our domestic and Pacific Rim practice and expansion plans,” said Burton. As a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office, Burton’s practice focuses on environmental regulatory and international cross-border transactional matters.
“As environmental issues continue to grow in importance and complexity, the addition of Colleen and Diana underscores Hunton & Williams’ dedication to meet client needs in California, the western U.S., and the Pacific Rim,” said Bill Wehrum, head of the firm’s administrative law team. This multifaceted group includes environmental, regulated markets and energy infrastructure, federal and state government relations, and food and drug practices.
Hunton & Williams continues to expand, adding nearly 100 lawyers across its international and U.S. offices since December of 2011. Seven lawyers, including Doyle and Martin, have joined the firm’s Los Angeles and San Francisco offices over the past year. These offices reflect the strength of the firm’s Washington D.C. federal regulatory and legislative practice and the national and global reach of Hunton & Williams’ highly regarded environmental and energy groups. The firm’s Los Angeles and San Francisco offices environmental lawyers assist clients on complex regulatory, enforcement defense, litigation, and transactional matters in California, across the nation and internationally.
