Perrie Weiner and Edward Totino join the Firm’s growing Los Angeles office, where Perrie will serve as Partner in Charge and Chair of the North America Securities Litigation Group. Both partners were formerly with DLA Piper, where Perrie previously was co-chair of the securities litigation practice, which has seen significant growth, co-managing partner of the LA offices, which also have grown substantially; and had served on the Executive and Policy Committees.
Perrie represents a wide array of clients in securities litigation and enforcement matters, and in complex business litigation. He advises private equity funds, including hedge funds, broker-dealers, underwriters, placement agents and issuers in SEC and FINRA enforcement proceedings, and in white collar criminal proceedings. In addition, he defends both underwriters and issuers in securities class actions, shareholder derivative actions, and takeover defense litigation. Perrie also has an active complex business litigation practice, including representing a broad spectrum of clients in consumer class actions involving claimed violations of the Right to Privacy (including TCPA and CIPA), Automatic Renewal Law, false and deceptive advertising, Section 17200 and RICO.
In addition to securities litigation, Ed focuses his practice on consumer class actions and complex commercial litigation. He represents a broad spectrum of clients including financial institutions, outsourcing companies, retailers and hotels. In recent years, Ed has defended numerous class actions brought under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the California Invasion of Privacy Act.

Perrie received his J.D. from Loyola Law School, Dean’s List, and his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude. Ed received a J.D. from Cornell Law School, as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and a B.A. from the University of Southern California.
