Dentons, the global law firm, today named Nick S. Pujji as partner in both the Firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution and Venture Technology practices. With an international client base spanning Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Canada and the United States, Pujji strengthens Dentons’, litigation, employment, class actions, securities, and venture technology and emerging growth companies capabilities.
Resident in the Firm’s Los Angeles office, Pujji serves as the outside in-house counsel to numerous emerging growth and technology startup companies across the United States and internationally. In this role, he advises founders, executives and investors on a range of issues, including business structure, strategy and growth, fundraising, employment, personnel, partnerships, strategic transactions and risk evaluation.
Pujji advises insurance carriers, clothing retailers, spa service providers, national transportation companies and food chains in wage and hour class action lawsuits. He has defended employers against wrongful termination, harassment, race, gender, religion, and disability claims, and represented clients against employees and competitors for trade secret theft, employee raiding and unfair competition, as well as for negligence, breach of fiduciary duty and Labor Code violations. Pujji also represents clients in business litigation disputes, has defended businesses in securities fraud matters and copyright disputes as well as serving as co-lead counsel for a Receiver in a major SEC enforcement action.

Pujji earned his JD from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, where he was associate editor of the Washington University Journal of Law & Policy. He holds a BS, cum laude, from Rice University, where he was a member of Pi Delta Phi, the National French Honor Society.
