Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Paul Navarro, a veteran emerging companies and venture capital lawyer, is rejoining the firm’s growing Los Angeles office, where he will advise entrepreneurs and technology startups and lead a growing practice serving Latin America. Paul returns to Perkins Coie from Morrison Foerster LLP.
“We’re excited to welcome Paul and his thriving legal practice back to Perkins Coie as we continue our strategic growth across California,” said Matt Oshinsky, co-chair of the firm’s Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice (ECVC). “Paul is highly respected by clients and peers for his dynamic counsel and corporate representation of emerging growth companies in the United States and throughout Latin America.”
Paul has deep experience helping startups and emerging companies as a trusted advisor across a range of sectors, including fintech, cybersecurity, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and entertainment. He has a substantial background guiding clients through equity and debt financings, corporate restructurings, recapitalizations, venture capital, and angel financings. He is a native Spanish speaker with strong cultural roots in Latin America and a passion for advising the region’s growing startup and emerging company ecosystem.
“Paul’s highly successful record in helping startups and emerging companies to scale and achieve success will further bolster our client capabilities in Los Angeles and Latin America,” said Perkins Coie’s Los Angeles Office Managing Partner Jon Daryanani. “We operate in a global business environment, and Paul’s expertise in guiding startups and emerging companies represents a formidable addition to our platform.”
Paul is the second ECVC partner to re-join the firm in Los Angeles, and his return to Perkins Coie increases the firm’s growing group of Los Angeles-based ECVC lawyers to eight.
“I’m thrilled to rejoin Perkins Coie’s Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice, which has grown significantly in just the past twelve months – including in New York through the addition of the Kluk Farber Law boutique,” said Paul. “The expanding national practice and deep history serving leading entrepreneurs, innovators, and startups will enable me to further build my practice and to also better serve clients across Latin America.”
Paul earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School and holds a B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University.
