Holland & Knight Expands West Coast Land Use and Environmental Practice with Addition of Ryan Leaderman in Los Angeles

Holland & Knight announced today that Ryan M. Leaderman has joined its Los Angeles office as a partner in the firm’s West Coast Land Use and Environmental Practice Group. Mr. Leaderman focuses on obtaining and negotiating land use entitlements for complex land use planning and mixed-use developments and securing project approvals for all types of major developments in Southern California. He also represents clients in all aspects of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), including CEQA litigation. Most recently, he was a partner at DLA Piper in Los Angeles.

Mr. Leaderman has extensive experience in guiding high-profile residential, commercial and mixed-use development projects through the approval process. His experience encompasses all types of land use permits, such as variances and conditional use permits and general plan and zoning amendments, and he interacts regularly with governmental agencies at all levels. In addition, Mr. Leaderman assists developers in complying with CEQA and planning and zoning regulations throughout California, most notably for mixed-use projects in the downtown Los Angeles area.
