DLA Piper announced today that Holly Lake will join the firm’s Employment practice as a partner in Los Angeles. Lake, who joins from employment law boutique Miller Law Group, received her J.D. from New York Law School and her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.
Lake represents both private and public employers in all aspects of employment law and related litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, and wage-and-hour matters. She also advises clients on day-to-day employment issues, including trends, best practices and compliance strategies, and has significant experience in OFCCP compliance, pay equity issues and affirmative action plan development.
“Holly is an experienced trial advocate and counselor, with deep experience leading legal teams on large-scale class and collective actions, employment-related investigations and compliance audits, all areas in high demand with our clients,” said Brian Kaplan, chair of DLA Piper’s US Employment practice and co-chair of its global Employment practice. “Her skill set – combined with her tremendous entrepreneurial energy and enthusiasm – makes Holly a valuable addition to our team in Los Angeles.”
