Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Partner Jason Berger and Associate Brian Drach to its Philadelphia and Los Angeles offices, respectively, as members of the firm’s national Entertainment, Media & Sports Practice. The pair arrive at the firm from Magolis Edelstein.
Messrs. Berger and Drach work with artists, individuals, and companies to protect their legal interests and help them achieve long-term success. Both attorneys have extensive experience preparing and negotiating agreements in the music, television, film, digital media, technology, art, and fashion industries. The team’s client base includes artists, songwriters, producers, bands, independent record labels, digital distribution companies, content creation and management companies, music publishing companies, apparel companies, management companies, executives, influencers, actors, and models, as well as multimedia fashion and lifestyle companies.
In discussing his decision to join Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Berger explained that the firm’s national footprint and extensive resources appealed to him. “As clients develop, they need a variety of legal services. Outside of his practice, Mr. Berger enjoys spending time with his family and playing tennis. He is a member and active participant in the Recording Academy’s Philadelphia Chapter, where he previously served on the Board of Governors and co-chaired the chapter’s Advocacy Committee. Similarly, Mr. Drach, who is proficient in Russian, actively supports his local music community by attending events and developing personal and professional connections with the talented individuals and companies behind them.
Mr. Berger earned his law degree from the Rutgers University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the College of New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Mr. Drach earned his law degree from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Penn State University. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, with his admission to the California State Bar pending.
