Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that Tram Nguyen and Yousuf Dhamee have joined the firm as partners in New York and Los Angeles, respectively. Both lawyers are investment management/private fund partners who were formerly partners with Stroock & Stroock.
“Tram’s experience as a former SEC Branch Chief and rule-maker — at the forefront of issues that are critical to many market participants — allows her to give clients key advice on regulatory risk management,” said Michael Rosella, global chair of the Investment Management practice. “Yousuf’s background as a former in-house hedge fund counsel enables him to be an effective translator of legal issues to the business side of his clients,” he added.
“We have market leading investment fund, private equity and regulatory practices and with these additions on the East and West Coast we will be even better positioned to help our clients,” said Elizabeth Noe, global chair of the Corporate practice at Paul Hastings. “Working in tandem, these two lawyers have been effective in helping clients realize optimal commercial solutions and we’re confident they’ll bring that same benefit to Paul Hastings,” she added.
