Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli continues to build its national Real Estate Practice with the addition of Courtney K. Rangen as Principal in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Prior to joining the firm, Rangen was partner in the Los Angeles office of Pircher, Nichols & Meeks.
With over a decade of real estate experience, Rangen represents institutional lenders, real estate funds, opportunity funds, life insurance companies, investment banks and other real estate investors in a broad range of real estate transactions. She partners with her clients to handle complex real estate mortgage and mezzanine financing, sale-leaseback transactions, and the purchase and sale of single assets, multi-property portfolios and equity interests. Rangen also brings significant experience representing sellers, buyers, lenders and borrowers in transactions involving non-performing mortgage loans and REOs, as well as single-family rental transactions.

Rangen has negotiated many complex transactions, including recently representing an opportunity fund as the purchaser/landlord/borrower in connection with a $325 million sale-leaseback transaction and related mortgage loan acquisition financing involving 11 retail locations across the U.S. and in connection with a the acquisition and related financing of 33 net-leased properties made up of a variety of asset classes located across the U.S. and Canada for a purchase price of approximately $1.5 billion.

Rangen furthers her legal knowledge and supports the broader legal community as Co-Chair of the National Association of Women Lawyer’s Real Estate Affinity Group and as a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and was recently recognized for her work in real estate law by Best Lawyers in America.
Rangen earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
