Global law firm White & Case LLP is continuing the expansion of its Global Commercial Litigation Practice and Global Technology Industry Group with the addition of Hope Anderson as a partner in Los Angeles.
“Privacy and cybersecurity are top of mind for companies and their c-suites across all sectors,” said Glenn Kurtz, Head of White & Case’s Commercial Litigation Practice. “Hope’s arrival will help lead our clients through this ever-evolving legal and regulatory landscape and presents a unique opportunity to grow our privacy expertise on the West Coast.”
Anderson’s practice focuses on privacy compliance and regulatory inquiries. She regularly advises engineering and business teams on implementing protocols and controls in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, California Consumer Privacy Act and other data protection regulations. She also advises on issues implicating e-commerce, consumer protection, marketing and advertising laws. Anderson also has experience handling corporate and technology transactions for large and emerging companies.
“Hope is uniquely positioned to advise our technology clients-having advised directly on all aspects of privacy programs,” said Aalok Sharma, White & Case partner and co-head of its Global Technology Industry Group. “Hope understands the data and technical requirements to implementing privacy protections, making her an instrumental resource for the Firm and our clients.”
Anderson’s arrival marks the fifth new lateral partner to join White & Case’s Global Commercial Litigation Practice this year, following Brienne Letourneau joining the Firm’s Chicago office earlier this month, and Sean Gorman, Chris Dodson and Andrew Zeve joining the Firm’s Houston office in January. Her addition also complements the recent arrival of the Firm’s new 10-lawyer IP team in Silicon Valley led by Yar Chaikovsky.
