Jon Salomon, a litigator with more than 20 years of experience, has joined Dentons’ Louisville office as a partner in the Litigation practice. Jon represents clients across a wide variety of industries in complex litigation, including contractual disputes, fiduciary duties, professional negligence claims, election law, insurance coverage disputes, employment-related claims, non-compete provisions, government contracts, real estate disputes, planning and zoning issues, and taxing authority. His clients include business owners, developers, financial institutions, fiduciaries, elected officials and governmental entities. Salomon arrives from Tachau Meek PLC in Louisville.
Jon began his career at a large international law firm in New York City in 2001, representing public companies and financial institutions in investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission and United States Attorneys’ offices, securities and corporate litigation, and arbitrations before the International Chamber of Commerce. He returned to Kentucky in 2008, joining a commercial litigation firm in Louisville where he provided counsel on corporate and governmental law matters.
“Jon is an extremely capable lawyer who draws on a vast well of experience to help clients litigate highly complex and sophisticated matters,” said Jim Irving, Louisville Office Managing Partner. “He will be a valued resource for our clients here in Louisville and beyond as they navigate matters that are local, national and global.”
Prior to law school, Jon served in President William J. Clinton’s administration as a member of the White House advance staff. He later served as an aide to President Clinton and Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton through the 2016 presidential election. He also worked in the past presidential campaigns of Gen. Wesley K. Clark (Ret.) and Senator John F. Kerry.
Jon currently serves as chair emeritus of Louisville’s Waterfront Botanical Gardens, and is active with the Rotary Club of Louisville and the Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Louisville.
“Our clients need counsel who understand their needs, anticipate future ones, and can help provide the legal and business solutions they seek,” said Keith Bice, Dentons Bingham Greenebaum Managing Partner. “We are happy to have Jon join our team of more than 12,000 lawyers across the globe.”
