Ashurst Opens in Luxembourg and Boosts Capability With Tax Partner Hires

International law firm Ashurst announces the opening of its Luxembourg office, having recently received Luxembourg Bar Association licence approval. The firm is also boosting its tax capability with the appointment of partners Cécile Henlé and Georges Simon.

Cécile Henlé joins from Loyens & Loeff Luxembourg where she has worked since 2003, becoming a partner in 2014. Cécile specialises in international tax law, advising global clients on cross-border transactions and group restructurings. She has strong expertise in the structuring of private equity acquisitions and tax litigation.

Georges Simon also joins from Loyens & Loeff Luxembourg where he has worked since 2009. He has extensive expertise in advising global clients on cross-border transactions and group restructurings. He also has significant experience in Luxembourg domestic tax law and tax litigation, including in relation to all types of real estate transactions.
