Dentons has opened for business in Luxembourg following the successful completion of its combination with leading local law firm, OPF Partners.
The team of 35 lawyers, including nine partners, will provide a full range of legal services, with a particular focus on Corporate/M&A, Private Equity and Venture Capital, Tax, Investment Funds, Banking & Finance, Structured Finance, Real Estate, Restructuring & Insolvency and Litigation. OPF Partners, which will now be known as Dentons, was recognized as “Luxembourg Law Firm of the Year” in the Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence 2015.
Leadership appointments
Former Managing Partner of OPF Partners, Frédéric Feyten, has been appointed as Luxembourg Managing Partner and will lead the local Tax practice. His focus is on Luxembourg and international taxation, mergers and acquisitions, financial products and structured finance. Having advised international corporate clients, investment banks, financial institutions and private equity firms, Frédéric has extensive experience in direct and indirect taxation, international tax planning, and structuring cross-border transactions through Luxembourg. In 2015, Frédéric was recognized by Chambers Europe and The Legal 500.

Partner Martine Gerber-Lemaire will lead Luxembourg’s Real Estate and Restructuring and Insolvency practices. Martine focuses on real estate transactions including acquisitions, disposals, financing, development, renovations, property management and leasing. She also has experience in European Insolvency law, and advises clients on workouts and turnarounds, corporate and debt restructuring, pre-insolvency issues, directors’ liability, bankruptcy proceedings, and cross-border insolvencies. In 2015, Martine was recognized by Chambers Europe, and The Legal 500 ranked OPF Partners’ (now Dentons’) Real Estate team in Tier 1.
Partner Stéphane Hadet will lead the Banking and Finance practice in Luxembourg. Having advised financial institutions, multinationals and private equity houses, Stéphane focuses on Luxembourg finance, leveraged finance, securitization, regulatory matters, high yield bonds and aircraft finance. Stéphane also has sound experience in debt and equity financing, enforcement of security interests, and financing and restructuring for groups facing financial difficulties. Stéphane was recognized by both IFLR1000 and The Legal 500 in 2015.
Partner Gérard Maîtrejean, will lead Luxembourg’s Corporate and M&A and Private Equity practice groups. Having advised major private equity houses and international financial institutions, Gérard has assisted clients on their general corporate affairs, joint venture transactions and corporate migrations. He has been a lead adviser on many landmark M&A transactions throughout Europe, the US and Asia. In 2015, Gérard was recognized by IFLR1000, Chambers Europe and The Legal 500 EMEA.
Partner Guy Perrot will head Luxembourg’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. Guy focuses on civil, commercial and administrative litigation for individual and corporate clients. He provides legal advice and represents domestic and international clients before the Luxembourg Court in a broad range of areas. Guy also provides assistance in litigation cases involving public contracts. He has assisted investors in legal proceedings related to the Madoff case in Luxembourg. He was recommended by The Legal 500, 2015.
Counsel Jeannette Vaude-Perrin will lead the Investment Funds group in Luxembourg. She advises clients on all issues pertaining to investment vehicles. Jeannette has extensive experience in structuring and implementing real estate funds, private equity and venture capital funds and UCITS. She also has knowledge of legal fund related matters applicable to custodian banks, depositaries, central administration agents, domiciliary agents, management companies, AIFMs and distributors/placement agents. She advises on AIFMD issues, public offerings, anti money laundering and data protection matters. Jeannette was praised by The Legal 500, 2014.
