Simmons & Simmons has today announced the arrival of a new partner in the Luxembourg office. Augustin de Longeaux joined the firm on 2 May 2018 as an investment funds partner who will lead the Luxembourg funds group. He has over 10 years’ experience and has been trained in tier one fund formation teams.

Throughout his career Augustin has advised on a broad array of matters relating to investment management and investment funds, ranging from fund formation, regulatory advice, licences application, to advising investors on prospective fund investments and secondary transactions. With a particular focus on the formation of regulated or unregulated Luxembourg investment funds, with illiquid investment strategies, Augustin will be a considerable addition to the Luxembourg team.

Upon arrival, he will seek to develop US clients notably with respect to capital raising and distribution activities in Europe.

Augustin’s arrival will reinforce the funds group and strengthen the firm’s position in the Luxembourg market, as well as enhance our services to clients.
