The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Douglas S. Buck has joined the firm as a partner in its real estate law practice group. He joins the growing specialty practice at Quarles & Brady that today includes more than 500 attorneys nationwide.
“Doug’s leadership and years of experience in the Madison and national real estate markets, including his successes with complex, local, national and international deals, makes him a stellar addition to our expanding team,” said Kevin Delorey, Quarles & Brady’s national chair of its real estate law practice.
Having joined Quarles in 2017, Buck continues to focus his practice on lending, commercial and industrial leasing, real estate development, sales and acquisitions and taxation. He is based in Quarles & Brady’s Madison office. He was previously a partner and business lawyer with the Madison office of Foley & Lardner, LLP.

Buck is also an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School, teaching real estate law. He serves on the board of governors of the State Bar of Wisconsin and is regularly called upon by the media as a real estate law expert, having appeared in Real Estate Finance, The National Real Estate Investor, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and others. He is ranked in Chambers USA, where ranking criteria includes technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness and astuteness, diligence, commitment and other qualities most valued by clients, and listed by Madison Magazine as one of the city’s best real estate lawyers. He received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin, and was on the staff of the University of Wisconsin’s Law Review. He earned his bachelor’s degree cum laude from Connecticut College. Buck is a resident of Middleton.
