International law firm Ashurst announces the appointment of Andrés Alfonso and Pablo García-Manzano as partners in its team in Madrid. Andrés is a transactional lawyer, and Pablo is an expert in energy regulation and other regulated sectors. Andrés joins from Herbert Smith Freehills where he has been since 2010. Pablo García Manzano joins from the Council of State, the supreme consultative council of the Spanish Government.
Andrés has over 15 years of experience in energy, oil & gas and mining. He advises on project development, M&A transactions, capital and debt markets transactions, finance transactions and arbitrations, at a national and international level, particularly in Africa and Latin America. He also has experience regarding a wide range of regulatory and contractual issues within the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Prior to the Spannish Council of State, Pablo held office as the Head of the Legal within the Spanish Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digitalisation.
