International law firm McDermott Will & Emery today announced that Bernard P. Grondin has joined the Firm as a partner in its top-ranked Health Industry Advisory practice group, based in the Miami office.
The appointment comes amid a wave of increased deal making by McDermott’s Miami-based Health and Corporate practice attorneys.
Mr. Grondin was previously with an AmLaw 100 law firm where he represented private equity funds and strategic investors in complex corporate transactions. He has particular expertise representing private equity funds in M&A transactions as well as private and public companies in their acquisitions, divestitures and other general corporate matters. Mr. Grondin has also represented issuers in initial public offerings and acted as transaction counsel to a range of publicly traded companies.

In 2011, he was part of a team that was selected by The M&A Advisor as “Winning Deal Team – Distressed M&A Deal of the Year (over $100mm)” in that publication’s “Turnaround Awards.” Additionally, he has been named by Super Lawyers magazine as a “Rising Star,” for the years 2009-2011.
