The law firm of Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP is pleased to announce that it has established an office in Miami. A fixture in Florida’s legal community since 1981, the firm’s newest office reflects its ongoing growth and commitment to serving clients in South Florida.

The attorneys in Edwards Wildman’s Florida offices are highly regarded in a variety of practice areas, including public finance, real estate, private equity, venture capital, litigation, private client, and intellectual property, among others. In January 2013, the Florida Venture Forum presented Cole with its inaugural Champion’s Award, which recognizes a business leader’s sustained and exceptional contributions to Florida’s venture capital community. A leader in Florida’s private equity and venture capital markets, veteran partner John Igoe was appointed to the board of directors of BioFlorida, which grows and strengthens the state’s bioscience, pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
Signifying Edwards Wildman’s commitment to its West Palm Beach office, Jacob Frohman recently joined the firm’s Business Law Department. Frohman represents a broad range of clients in mergers and acquisitions, both public and private; venture capital and private equity transactions; new venture organization and advisory services; and securities matters.
Edwards Wildman opened its first Florida office in West Palm Beach in 1981. The firm established a presence in Gainesville in 2008, and has had office space there continuously since then, staffed by attorneys from other offices on a rotating basis. The firm has a long-standing relationship with the University of Florida and is a resident partner of the Florida Innovation Hub.
