Prominent local attorney Emil R. Infante has joined Holland & Knight’s Miami office as a partner and member of the firm’s Corporate and Latin America Practices. He was formerly a partner with DLA Piper. In the past, he was managing partner of the well-regarded boutique firm, Infante Zumpano.
“Emil is a respected member of the Miami legal community who has a very strong practice representing wealthy Latin American families, their operating companies and their family offices,” said Roberto Pupo, leader of Holland & Knight’s South Florida and Latin America Corporate Practice. “His clients have a diverse set of needs that perfectly complement our corporate, arbitration, tax, private wealth and government affairs practices. We are thrilled he is joining our growing team.”
Mr. Infante’s corporate practice touches upon a large number of areas, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions transactions, financial services and financial regulation, and international dispute resolution. Additionally, he has significant experience with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering investigations and compliance within the United States and Latin American markets. He is a member of the Consejo Empresarial de America Latina (CEAL), an organization of more than 500 private entrepreneurs from 20 countries in Latin America, Puerto Rico and Miami.

Mr. Infante received a J.D. degree from St. Mary’s University, an LL.M. degree from Georgetown University Law Center, an M.A. degree from University of Dayton and a B.A. degree from Sacred Heart University. He is also a graduate of St. Mary’s Institute on World Legal Problems in Innsbruck, Austria, where he continues to serve as a visiting professor.
