The Miami office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Michael P. Levinson, M.D., J.D., as a partner in the health care practice. Levinson joins K&L Gates from Hogan Lovells.
A licensed physician as well as a board-certified health lawyer, Levinson represents clients including hospitals, health professionals, home health agencies, medical device manufacturers, suppliers, investment funds, and healthcare management companies in a variety of transactional, regulatory, and operational matters. These include issues involving third-party reimbursement, false claims, fraud and abuse, self-referral, anti-kickback, licensing, corporate practice of medicine, bioethics, and digital health, as well as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliation arrangements, and employment/consulting agreements.
