Littler Expands Attorney Roster with the Addition of Shareholder Jennifer A. Schwartz in Miami

Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has expanded its Miami office with the addition of Jennifer A. Schwartz as a shareholder. Schwartz joins Littler from Jackson Lewis, where she served as a principal for the past five years and where she has worked for more than a decade.

“Jennifer’s arrival follows a number of high-profile additions to Littler over the past year as acquiring top lateral talent remains a key part of our growth strategy, both domestically and globally,” said Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler, in a joint statement. “We are pleased to welcome Jennifer to the firm and know that our clients will benefit tremendously from her counsel as they face a continued rise in employment-related claims and litigation.”

Schwartz specializes in cases that involve alleged wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, wage and hour violations and unfair business practices. She also has significant experience defending complex class-action matters and has represented employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, Florida Commission on Human Relations, Florida Department of Agency Hearings and the Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation.

“Jennifer has extensive experience litigating employment matters in a range of areas that will strengthen offerings to our clients in south Florida and globally,” said Patrick G. DeBlasio, Miami office managing shareholder. “She has secured impressive victories for employers in a wide range of industries, including hospitality, pharmaceuticals, retail and gaming that align well with our client base.”

Schwartz is a frequent speaker on workplace law topics and regularly conducts training seminars on prevention of discrimination and harassment in the workplace, along with wage and hour compliance. She has been honored by Martindale-Hubbell with an AV rating for her high ethical standing, based on peer reviews.

“I’m excited to join Littler, a firm well-known for its deep subject matter knowledge, strong presence in key markets and innovative approach to client service,” Schwartz said. “I look forward to leveraging the firm’s depth of resources and vast geographic reach to enhance the services provided to my clients.”

Schwartz received her J.D., with honors, from University of Florida Levin College of Law and her B.A., with high honors, in political science from the University of Florida.
