Ashurst announces the appointment of Paolo Manganelli who will lead the restructuring team in Milan.
Paolo joins from Paul Hastings where he has been a partner since 2014. Paolo specialises in restructuring and special situations work as well as corporate, M&A and more general insolvency matters. In 2010, Paolo was seconded to the Paul Hastings New York office for 12 months, where he was actively involved in the major Chapter 11 restructurings managed by the firm. He also regularly advises Italian and international clients on export controls and international sanctions, assisting clients in assessing compliance risks and conducting transactions in compliance with the applicable sanction regimes. Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Paolo was Parmalat Group’s deputy head of litigation, advising on litigation matters arising from the organisation’s insolvency and financial fraud, as well as on legal matters relating to Parmalat’s restructuring plan. He has also acted as in-house counsel at the Fiat Group.
