Cozen O’Connor is pleased to welcome Francis “Frank” Halm to the firm’s nationally recognized Real Estate Practice Group. Halm joins as a member and will be resident in the Minneapolis office. Halm brings nearly 30 years of experience in private practice and as in-house counsel, most recently serving as of counsel at Kutak Rock.
Halm’s national practice focuses on all areas of commercial real estate, including leasing, financing, development, dispositions and acquisition, REAs, and litigation. At Cozen O’Connor, Halm will assist with the operation and management of commercial real estate, corporate governance, and litigation, and continue to represent international and national real estate companies, local municipalities, national brokerage firms, and regional and local developers and companies on a wide variety of real estate matters.

Currently, Halm is representing a number of international, national, and regional REIT’s and real estate companies and brokerage firms in leasing office, retail, medical and industrial office buildings; as well as acquisitions, dispositions and financing, including sale and lease backs.
Previously, Halm served as regional counsel and officer of Brookfield Office Properties Corporation, a publicly traded international real estate company, for 21 years. In this role, he managed all legal matters in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn., Chicago, and Denver, relating to assets consisting of more than six million square feet; and provided assistance to New York and Toronto offices on other real estate matters outside of the region.
