An international team of global legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze GmbH, a group company of Sumitomo Electric Industries, on a contractual joint venture with a Belarusian supply business. The joint venture was implemented for purposes of supplying Volkswagen Group Russia with wire harnesses. The project is a major step on enlarging the activities of Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze GmbH on international growth markets.
Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze GmbH, headquartered in Wolfsburg, Germany, is a leading full-system supplier for the international automotive industry. The company currently employs more than 24,000 people at 21 locations worldwide and generated a turnover of approximately €900m in 2012.
