Shearman & Sterling Advises on Dow Chemical’s $2.0 Billion Notes Offering

Shearman & Sterling represented The Dow Chemical Company in connection with a $2.0 billion underwritten public offering of debt securities, including $1.250 billion aggregate principal amount of 4.125% notes due 2021 and $750 million aggregate principal amount of 5.250% notes due 2041.

The Wall Street Journal CFO Journal lauded The Dow Chemical Company for the good timing of this issuance, as the company managed to sell the bonds just before further news about the European debt crisis caused investors to worry about impacts on the global economy.
