International law firm Salans has appointed Marat Mouradov as a Partner and Head of its Russian Competition Law Practice Group. Mouradov is based in Salans’ Moscow office.
Mouradov is a member of the Russian Competition Support Association, a non-commercial partnership working to strengthen the cooperation between businesses and the Federal Antimonopoly Service. He is also adding his expertise in private equity and venture capital transactions to Salans’ M&A capabilities. Mouradov joins Salans from the Moscow office of one of the major international law firms.
Mathieu Fabre-Magnan , previous Co-Head of the Russian Competition Practice Group in Salans’ Moscow office, said: “We are delighted Marat has joined Salans to head our Competition Law Practice in Russia, which we believe he will take to a yet higher level.”
With 17 lawyers, Salans’ Russian Competition Practice Group is one of the largest in the Russian legal market. It was previously managed by Moscow Partner Mathieu Fabre-Magnan and Brussels Partner Edward Borovikov. Mouradov’s arrival signals a step forward in Salans’ progress in developing a leading Russian and EU competition law capability as part of its Global Competition Practice Group Strategy.
