Kirkland & Ellis International LLP is pleased to announce the further strengthening of its Corporate Practice Group with the addition of Attila Oldag, who will join Kirkland as a partner in the Munich office.
Mr. Oldag joins from German corporate boutique law firm Gütt Olk Feldhaus, where he was a partner since 2013. Prior to that, he was a member of the corporate/M&A practice at Hengeler Mueller.
Mr. Oldag, 41, advises German and international companies as well as financial investors on private equity and M&A transactions including joint ventures. He also offers advice on corporate reorganizations as well as on select capital market and commercial matters.
“Kirkland & Ellis aims to be present in key markets with experienced, well-established lawyers such as Attila. He has a great reputation and outstanding international experience, and we are delighted to add him to the strong team in Munich,” said Jeffrey C. Hammes, Chairman of Kirkland’s Global Management Executive Committee.
Mr. Oldag is the latest significant hire for Kirkland’s corporate/M&A practice. Joerg Kirchner joined the Firm in 2015 from Latham & Watkins LLP; Achim Herfs, Anna Schwander and Benjamin Leyendecker joined in 2016 from Hengeler Mueller; and in May 2017, private equity specialist Volkmar Bruckner joined the Firm from Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
“With the addition of Attila, we continue with the strategic expansion of the corporate/M&A practice and broaden our platform to provide clients with expert high-level professional advice on complex cross-border transactions,” said Joerg Kirchner, partner in the Munich office.
