Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Phillip E. Walker has joined the firm’s Nashville office as a partner and member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. He was previously a shareholder with the law firm Patterson Intellectual Property Law, P.C. in Nashville.

A registered patent attorney, Mr. Walker focuses his practice on intellectual property counseling, including the procurement and enforcement of patents, trademarks, and copyrights. His primary practice is patent prosecution. His work involves the evaluation and protection of complex technologies in diverse industries, including mechanical, medical, telecommunications, optical, materials, chemical, computer software, and the Internet. Mr. Walker has filed and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications, while also advising clients on the potential liability and level of protection or enforceability associated with issued patents. He also counsels his clients on a wide variety of trademark, Internet, unfair competition, and copyright issues.
Mr. Walker holds a J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law. He also earned a Graduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the Victoria University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
