Jones Walker LLP announced today that Patrick “Pat” Baynham has joined the firm’s Maritime Practice Group in the New Orleans office. Pat joins from Baynham Best LLC, where served as managing partner since 1996.

Pat represents maritime services, offshore drilling, energy, manufacturing, chemicals, and other clients in maritime, general casualty, insurance coverage, and other disputes. He focuses on the defense of clients named in personal injury and death lawsuits and has handled several civil jury trials in federal and state courts across Louisiana and Texas.

With decades of experience practicing law, Pat has represented clients in individual and multi-plaintiff litigation involving naturally occurring radioactive material as well as a variety of other emerging issues, such as social media and video surveillance. He has also provided pro bono legal counsel to housing-related charities and the individuals they serve as part of his commitment to helping find solutions to homelessness.

Pat earned his BA cum laude from the University of Dallas and his JD from Tulane University Law School. He is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Texas.
