Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, a national law firm with offices in New York, Los Angeles and Miami, announced the addition of Andrea N. Satty as a Partner in the firm’s Energy and Project Finance Practice Group, effective immediately.

Ms. Satty’s corporate and project finance practice includes representing major energy companies, private equity firms and financial institutions in mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions and greenfield development. She has been recognized in Chambers USA and Chambers Global for her work in project finance, and was recently named to the Cleantech 100, a list of the top 100 clean technology and renewable energy attorneys in the United States.
Recent work highlights include representing lenders on the $1.5 billion financing of the $3 billion Ruby natural gas pipeline; representing GDF Suez North America on its investment in and on the $1.5 billion construction club financing of a natural gas-fired power station in Queens, New York; and representing Rockland Capital in the portfolio financing of 40 PV projects under the new Massachusetts solar regulations.
Stroock’s Energy and Project Finance Practice Group represents developers, sponsors, investors, financial institutions and other entities in the development, financing, construction, operation, sale and acquisition and restructuring of a wide range of industry projects and facilities, in the United States and abroad, aggregating billions of dollars of value.

Ms. Satty comes to Stroock from the New York office of Chadbourne & Parke LLP, where she was a partner. She received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from City University of New York, Queens College, and J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
