Duane Morris in New York Adds Corporate Partner Bruce Czachor

Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that Bruce Czachor has joined the firm’s Corporate Practice Group as a partner in its New York office. Czachor further strengthens Duane Morris’ capabilities in the areas of domestic and international capital markets, including debt and equity offerings, as well as merger and acquisition transactions. He joins the firm from Orrick, after spending more than 23 years at Shearman & Sterling.

Czachor focuses his practice on representing investment banks and corporate clients in capital markets transactions, as well as advising clients with respect to securities law matters (e.g., general disclosure matters, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and related corporate governance issues). He also advises clients on mergers and acquisitions.

Czachor has represented clients in all types of capital-raising transactions, and he has significant experience in high-yield debt offerings, convertible debt offerings, investment grade debt financings, all types of equity financings (including IPOs) and leveraged recapitalizations. Czachor has worked on financings in the public and private markets, both in the United States and internationally. He has helped companies in a broad range of industries, including energy; oil and gas; pipelines and transmission; mining; forest products; telecommunications; media; cable; biotechnology and medical devices; pharmaceuticals; software; and real estate.

Prior to joining Orrick, Czachor was a partner at Shearman & Sterling in its New York, Silicon Valley and Toronto offices, and served as the managing partner of its Silicon Valley office for more than five years. Earlier this year, Duane Morris launched an office in Silicon Valley, allowing the firm to provide more efficient and direct service to clients throughout the area and enhancing its capabilities in California and nationally.

Czachor is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Bar Association of the City of New York, California Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the ABA Subcommittee on Legal Opinions in Securities Transactions and the ABA International Securities Matters Subcommittee.

Czachor is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and California. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, in 1987 from New York Law School, where he was executive editor of the Law Review. He earned his B.A. in 1983 from State University of New York at Binghamton. He also served as a law clerk for the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
