Arnold & Porter LLP announced today that Virginia Murphy has joined the firm’s Business Litigation practice in its New York office as counsel. Ms. Murphy hails from a corporate background that includes providing legal and policy direction to global companies and other organizations on compliance and regulatory issues in the United States and Europe.
Ms. Murphy’s experience extends nationally and abroad for Fortune 100 companies and other organizations. She has served as Compliance Counsel, Senior Vice President for Brand Integrity and Compliance, Chief Compliance Officer, and Deputy General Counsel. Previous employers include Altria Group, where she served in senior management positions for nearly 15 years, Siemens Corporation, and the New York Racing Association.
Ms. Murphy received her B.A. in Business Administration, concentrated in Finance, magna cum laude, from Adelphi University. She obtained her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.
