Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. is pleased to announce that Charles H. Kaplan has joined the Firm as a Member of the Employment and Labor Practice Group in the Firm’s New York office.
For over 33 years, Mr. Kaplan has represented management in a wide variety of industries throughout the U.S. and abroad in labor and employment law, employee benefits law and related litigation. Mr. Kaplan has counseled a broad range of domestic and foreign-owned companies in the U.S. on workplace law issues. He has also successfully represented employers in federal and state trial and appellate courts; before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, U.S. Department of Labor, and other federal, state and local agencies; and in labor and employment mediations and arbitrations around the U.S.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Kaplan was a Partner at Sedgwick LLP.
A graduate of Harvard University’s J.D./M.B.A. Joint Program in 1979, Mr. Kaplan received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He earned his B.A., magna cum laude, with Distinction in History, from Yale University in 1975. At Yale, Mr. Kaplan was Publisher of the Yale Daily News.
