Brown Rudnick LLP is pleased to announce that Alejandro Fiuza has joined the Firm’s Boston and New York offices as a partner in the Corporate Practice Group.
With the addition of Mr. Fiuza, the Firm is launching a new Latin American Practice Group which Mr. Fiuza will chair. Leveraging strong business and community relationships in the region, the Latin American Practice Group advises U.S. businesses and other global clients in cross-border transactions in Latin America, including acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, joint ventures, strategic alliances and corporate finance. With our understanding of the business culture, regulatory climate and regional issues, Brown Rudnick is well positioned to help clients achieve their business goals in Latin America. The Latin American Practice also represents Latin American companies with cross-border business opportunities and litigation in the United States and other world regions.
Mr. Fiuza is the fifth high profile partner to join Brown Rudnick’s global Corporate Practice Group this year, following the addition of Tim Mathews and Sophie McGrath in London, Adolfo Garcia in Boston, and Numan Siddiqi in Orange County.
Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Mr. Fiuza was a partner at K&L Gates where he co-coordinated the Latin American Practice. His practice was recognized by Chambers Latin America and Chambers Global both regionally and in Argentina. Before moving to the United States, Mr. Fiuza was a partner at Marval O’Farrell & Mairal, the largest law firm in Argentina, where he co-chaired the Private Equity and Venture Capital and International Trade Practice Groups. Mr. Fiuza was also previously a law professor at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and Southwestern University School of Law.
Mr. Fiuza focuses his practice on cross-border transactional work, including corporate, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, corporate finance and, international sale, distribution, agency and franchising agreements.
He has advised clients on regulatory, antitrust and international trade matters in Latin America. Mr. Fiuza also represents public and private multinationals, private equity and venture capital funds, GPs and investors, and global entrepreneurs.
