Phillips Nizer is pleased to announce that Alan Behr has joined the firm’s Corporate & Business Law Department as a partner, where he will continue to represent clients in international and domestic intellectual property law. His concentrations include licensing, copyright and trademark protection for the entertainment, and fashion and accessories industries, as well as complex technology transactions. He will also continue to represent the interests of art galleries, artists, photographers, and art collectors.
A trained mediator, Mr. Behr, will continue to maintain an arbitration and mediation practice handling alternative dispute resolution cases, both as an advocate and as a neutral. He is a member of the International Trademark Association’s Panel of Neutrals, the world’s only panel of trained mediators who focus on trademark and unfair competition law.
Mr. Behr, a dual U.S.-German national, will be a member of the firm’s German Practice, where he will provide counsel to clients from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
In addition to his law firm experience, Mr. Behr’s credentials include in-house positions as general counsel of w-Technologies, Inc. and Atari, Inc. (formerly GT Interactive Software Corp.). He earned his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
