Covington Expands New York Capital Markets Practice

Covington & Burling LLP is pleased to announce that capital markets lawyers Don Murray and Eric Blanchard will join the firm’s corporate practice as partners effective May 1st. They will be resident in the firm’s New York office.

Mr. Murray and Mr. Blanchard represent underwriters and issuers in initial public offerings and other capital market transactions. They focus on financings in the life sciences, cleantech and renewable technology, and financial services industries. 
“We are delighted that Don and Eric, whom we have known for a number of years, are joining the Covington team,” said Timothy Hester, chair of the firm’s management committee. “Don’s and Eric’s practice will significantly enhance our capital markets presence in the life sciences industry and further expand Covington’s overall capital markets practice, which has added high profile teams and key lawyers in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, China and London during the past several months.”

Mr. Murray received his law degree from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and his undergraduate degree from University of Notre Dame. Mr. Blanchard received his law degree from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and his undergraduate degree from University of Maryland.
