NY Firm Augments Private Equity Practice with Two Attorneys

Two attorneys have come aboard the private equity practice of Goodwin Proctor’s New York office.

Two attorneys have come aboard the private equity practice of Goodwin Proctor’s New York office, according to a press release.

Ilan S. Nissan and Christian C. Nugent will work on providing advice for private equity funds, hedge funds and alternative assets for the law firm. Both attorneys draw from experience in a variety of sectors including manufacturing, entertainment, software and technology, and distribution of products.

Pisa with Goodwin Procter said. “Ongoing expansion of our Private Equity Practice in New York and other key markets is one of the priorities of our strategic growth plan, and will further enhance our ability to serve clients in this important sector.”

John LeClaire, partner and chair of the law firm’s private equity practice, said both products of legal recruiting have constructed strong practices that have blossomed. He cited their transactional practices as being particularly strong and credited them with being team players equipped with strong character.

Goodwin Proctor’s New York law office was established in 1997 and is staffed with more than 150 attorneys.
